A Fall Foliage Walk

Walk Description:
Participants will walk three miles along the asphalt Farmington River Trail to see the beautiful foliage and river views. Alan Perrie and Karen Geitz will share the history found along the trail. Some highlights are about water sports competitions and recreation done along the river. Other details include the history of the railroad, the Burlington station and the Woodland Hotel or Burlington Inn. Participants will view photos of the area in the aftermath of the Flood of ‘55. They will also learn about Burlington’s biggest dam constructed in 1910.
