About the event
Explore a 1.6 mile loop on crushed stone with gentle hills in this beautiful wildlife management area. Alan Perrie and Karen Geitz will point out the glacial erratics, native plants, such as sassafras, sweet fern, winterberry and witch hazel. We may even see some of the witch hazel blooming! Learn information about the Sessions Family and the old Methodist Camp. Discover an interesting part of the old camp and get a view of Meriden Mountain from the Sessions’ Summer House. There’s so much to see!
If you’d like, on your own, you can visit the Education Center at Sessions Woods and see the wildlife exhibits. We also recommend a stop at Tonn’s Marketplace down the road from Sessions. You’ll find produce, baked goods, locally made items, llamas, chickens and beautiful places to take photos.
You can have a great time in one small area!
