About the event
This ramble is an out-of-town adventure on the Farmington Flats offered by the Burlington Land Trust in collaboration with the Farmington Land Trust. Alan Perrie and Karen Geitz from the BLT will be joined by Evan Cowles, Vice President of the Farmington Land Trust, to walk the 1.3 mile Nancy Conklin Trail loop. This property positively reeks of history! The setting reflects many aspects of Farmington’s history: early settlement, immigration, industry, dairying, its literary past, and 365 years of farming. Evan Cowles will share stories about his family that owned the property and gifted it to the FLT. We’ll also amble along the Farmington and Pequabuck Rivers. Bring your binoculars…there will be birds!
