THE BURLINGTON LAND TRUST
HIKE WITH APPS AND DISCOVER THE NATURAL WORLD AROUND YOU!
HAVE YOU EVER:
-
HEARD A BIRD CALL AND WONDERED WHAT BIRD IT IS?
-
WALKED A TRAIL AND WANTED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE?
-
SEEN A PLANT AND WANTED TO IDENTIFY IT?
Scott Heth, Executive Director of Barnes Nature Center and naturalist, and Karen Geitz, Director from the Burlington Land Trust, will give participants a brief introduction to several Apps to use to discover what’s out in nature. After the presentation, the group will go out on the newly inaugurated All Accessible Trail (a one-mile loop) to see what we can find/hear and identify using the Apps. This activity is going to get you excited about observing what’s around you and maybe even become a citizen scientist!
